spring point bridge
this bridge/deck was constructed with island fir and island cedar. the rail system uses copper pipe and is topped with a profiled 3x8 cedar rail cap.
nelson deck
this 1500 square foot cedar deck, built in 2009, was ddb's first project, and our first of many jobs on orcas island.
mt woolard cedar deck
this rough-sawn cedar deck was built from cedar milled just down the road. the translucent roof provides shelter while still allowing direct light to reach the kitchen windows.

folding beach stair
after their last stair was crushed by a log during a storm, this client asked us to build something that could fold up during bad weather. knee braces allow this stair to hang off the bulk-head and a winch lifts the lower portion totally out of the way.
